Narrative Review: Herbal Nanocosmetics for Anti Aging

<span lang="EN-US">Skin aging is a complex biological process caused by intrinsic and extrinsic factors. There are various approaches to preventing skin aging, one of which using herbal nanocosmetics. This narrative review aims determine the natural ingredients, type nanoformulations, its effects nanocosmetics prevent aging. The method used in this study was searching for articles related avoid through Google Scholar, PubMed, Science Direct with keywords plants, anti-aging, cosmetics, nanocosmetics, nanoparticles, nanomaterials, topical delivery. inclusion criteria were research or about plants made into route administration published between 2010-2021 full text. that have been obtained then selected, reviewed, analyzed. Herbal contain phenolic compounds nanoformulations used, namely silver solid lipid nanoparticles (SLN), nanostructured carriers (NLC), nanoemulsions, liposomes, niosomes, ethosomes, transfersomes. These herbs affect including UV protection, wrinkles dark spots, moisturizing brightening skin. some mechanisms such as anti-oxidant, photoprotective agents, modulators collagen elastin synthesis, inhibitors melanin synthesis.</span>
